Marabini's

Recently, Marabini’s decided to have live entertainment, only on a Saturday night. As regulars will know, many of Tom’s forthcoming gigs were on Friday nights, so there have been some cancellations to many of the dates at Marabini’s that Tom was showing on his Public Gigs page. We can only apologise for this, and suggest that anyone hoping to see Tom there, check when booking their table, that he will be performing. We know many of you do that already. He still has a couple of Saturdays booked which appear on the gigs page.

Tom will be appearing in Hexham at
Vercelli’s Italian Restaurant in April, and La Torre Italian Restaurant in Bedlington in April and May.

Tom was back at Marabini’s last night, and enjoyed a superb evening, where he entertained everyone, with the variety of material for which Tom has become well known. By the end of the night, he had the dance floor packed, and his appreciative audience gave him warm applause - which is what he thrives on! There were a few parties in last night, both big and small, and Tom had them all involved, singing at their tables, and dancing with them on the dance floor.

Don’t miss Tom’s next appearance at
Marabini’s on Saturday 29th March. Be sure to book a table though!

Tom helps another Kilimanjaro Trekker

How time flies! Since our last post, Tom has been back at Marabini’s (twice), helping create an atmosphere it’s hard to find anywhere else! Those of you who know Marabini’s know what we mean, and those who have not....why not?!

Tom Wyllie at The Dyke Neuk
On Saturday, Tom was up at The Dyke Neuk Inn at Meldon. He was performing at their charity night - an Italian Bistro Party Night - which was a sell out! The night was in aid of four charities - The Stroke Association, Cancer Research UK, Scope and Marie Curie Cancer Care. With all three sections of the restaurant full, it made for a great atmosphere, and there was a quiz, raffle and meat draw, in addition to Tom’s performance.

Dancing at Dyke Neuk
Once the meal was over, Tom provided lighting and sang some more upbeat songs to get diners up and dancing. Enzo was cooking for 107 people in one sitting, a task which some may have found more daunting than his own trip to Kilimanjaro in May, which he is doing to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. In fact, there is still time to donate to his cause via Justgiving.

All in all, it was a great night, and when we get to know a total sum raised, we will post it here. Meanwhile, you can catch Tom’s next public gig, back at Marabini’s, this Saturday, 15th March, from 8:30pm. See you there!

UPDATE:- We understand that £935 was raised for charity on the night, which is a fantastic effort, so enormous thanks to everyone involved. Organiser, Angela Young said Tom is “A true talent! Tom has a fabulous voice and put on a great nights entertainment for our charity night at The Dyke Neuk. Very professional from the moment we met him. Tom wanted to make sure the night was going to be good and that everything was right. You can tell he loves what he does, a brilliant singer who we would recommend to anyone for a great night!
Thank you for the kind words Angela - we hope to see you again soon!
