Congratulations to Vicki and Liam!

Eshott Hall Wedding 1st Dance Tom Wyllie
It was Tom's privilege to sing for Vicki Wright and Liam Candlish, as they became the new Mr & Mrs Candlish on Saturday. They were married and had their reception at the fabulous Eshott Hall in Northumberland, and had a beautiful day for it.

When Tom arrived to set up, it quickly became apparent that the photography and videography was being done by John Hudson and Kathryn Johansen of Absolute Media Weddings. Tom performed at John's wedding last December, when he and Jill Newey (also of Absolute Media) were married at Seaham Hall.

Kathryn stayed on a little longer than planned, knowing Tom was going to be singing both "Uptown Funk" and "Born to Hand Jive"!

Eshott Hall Vicki and Liam Candlish and Tom Wyllie
For Vicki and Liam Tom sang as guests arrived to the evening reception, and then again for their first dance. They asked Tom to learn "The One", a recent hit for Kodaline. After the evening buffet (a delicious hog roast), Tom sang for another hour or so, including various requests from friends and family, before Jamie from North East DJ's took the night through to a finish.

It was an absolute pleasure to sing for Vicki and Liam, who make a lovely couple and we wish them a superb honeymoon and a long and happy life together!

Next Saturday night Tom is back at Vercelli's in Hexham, so, if you haven't booked your table yet - now is the time! See you there.

Congratulations and Celebrations!

April saw Tom take a well earned break in the Lake District. Many of you may not know he is a keen walker, trying to fit in ticking off all The Wainwright Fells in-between his busy schedule.

As soon as he got back, he headed straight up to Elligham Hall, where he performed for Mark and Becca Graham at their wedding reception. They had a fabulous day weather wise, a wonderful venue for a lovelyy couple. We wish them all the very

best for their future together. They were kind enough to get in touch after the big day and said:

“We knew Tom would be good, but he wasn't good, he was fantastic!
Tom was amazing! He really made the evening and the atmosphere was great!
Great set list, great voice and great interaction with our guests.
It wasn't just the two of us that thought Tom was great but our guests did too!
Everyone commented on how great he was!
Thanks for helping to make our day so special!”

Tom Wyllie wrap around
Tom followed that up with some great performances at Vercelli, La Torre and Horton Grange Country House Hotel. The latter made for a refreshing change, because Tom was able to sing more of his Classical and Musical Theatre repertoire there. The management indicated that they would love to have Tom back, so watch this space for further dates!

Almost needless to say his gig at Vercelli's went on beyond midnight, and he introduced a few new songs into his repertoire, just to keep everyone on their toes! Mike Brown of Life on Cartoon Motion came along and worked his magic, taking some awesome photos on the night. If you don't know of Mike, check out his website as he is an amazing photographer.

Next public gig is a first for Tom at Davanti Italia, Whitley Lodge. If you haven't been before, come along and check it out - lovely staff, great food, and Tom will provide some fab entertainment. See you there!

That was November, that was!

Tom Riverside
Well, November flew by quickly didn't it. Tom has had a busy month which included private functions as well as public gigs at la Torre in Bedlington, and Vercelli's in Hexham. If you have yet to try these restaurants, book a table when Tom is on - you are in for a treat!

Earlier in November, Tom had the great pleasure of singing for Rob and Sarah Thorpe at their Wedding Reception at The Riverside Lodge in Morpeth. Rob and Sarah make a lovely couple and have a terrific group of friends and family who made the night a great one for all concerned. Rob was kind enough to say afterwards:

Sarah and Rob Thorpe with Tom Wyllie North East Singer
“I have never been to an event where the dance floor was as consistently packed as it was at our wedding! Tom is a magnificent entertainer, whose energy and enthusiasm shines through. He really knows how to get the crowd dancing with a wide variety of songs to choose from, and to top it all he has a fabulous, pitch perfect voice!

Tom tailored his sets perfectly to suit our tastes, and even learnt two brand new songs for us in just a few weeks. He very kindly carried on long after he was supposed to finish, as everyone kept shouting for more!

As many people have since commented, Tom really did make the night, and he helped make our wedding day extremely special. We can't thank him highly enough, and would recommend him to anybody!”

Their photographer was a guy by the name of Mike Brown, who is fast becoming known in Northumberland for his great work. The photo of Tom at the top of this article was taken by Mike - watch out for more of his work on this website! Mike is such a nice guy we can heartily recommend him for weddings, family sittings, portraits - anything really! Check out his
Facebook page.

Anyway, that's enough for now. We look forward to seeing you all in December in the run up to Christmas. Next stop is
Marabini's on Friday 5th December.

Congratulations to Rachael and Alex

Tom Wyllie, North East Singer, Alex and Rachael Robson
Our congratulations to Rachael and Alex who married yesterday. Their reception was at Alex's parents home in Tranwell Woods, in a fabulous marquee, and whilst the weather was a little unkind (serious understatement) everyone, and most importantly Rachael and Alex, had a wonderful day. The rain was absolutely torrential, and after Tom's performance he slipped on the lawn in full DJ, so off to the dry cleaners with that tomorrow!

Tom Wyllie entertains, Tranwell Woods
Tom sang during the Champagne Reception, and again both during and immediately after the Wedding Breakfast. One lovely moment saw Tom gather the children together with him on the stage to join in with "Any Dream Will Do". Rachael and Alex were after an informal feel to the day, and Tom aided that with classical/musical theatre and swing numbers during the Champagne Reception, but later getting guests singing along and up dancing. For the evening guests danced the night away to a Ceilidh Band.

Rachael later got in touch with Tom:

"Just a quick e-mail to say thank you so much for Saturday. Alex and I (and all our guests) thought you were brilliant and everybody loved you. You helped make our wedding day the massive success it was and we will definitely recommend you to everyone! We have had nothing but positive feedback from our guests. We loved the faxt you had people dancing during dinner and the kids had the best time following you around. Thanks again Love Alex and Rachael xxx"

Restaurants and Weddings.....

It’s been a busy weekend, including a debut gig at Sonero’s in Tynemouth on Friday, and a Wedding Fair at The Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle today.

On Friday night, Tom introduced Tynemouth to his own style of entertainment, and mixed some classical with some popular material at Sonero’s Italian Restaurant. They offer amazing value food, and friendly staff to go with it!

Tom Wyllie at The Copthorne
Today, Tom was appearing at the Tyne the Knot Wedding Fair at The Copthorne, Newcastle, where he wowed exhibitors and guests alike, singing in the reception area, and in the exhibition area. He sang self-contained, and with Mark Deeks, pianist of Music Newcastle. Tom was appearing as part of Mark’s “Bespoke Band” service, whereby clients can choose, band members, and singers to make up their own bespoke band - a unique service.

Tom Wyllie and Mark Deeks
Apparently Tom reduced one hotel guest to tears! We should add that it was his singing that did that - and in a good way! When Tom attends Wedding Fairs, he takes the opportunity to make a note and bring to you suppliers of exceptional quality and offering a fantastic service. The Fair was full of them today, not least amongst them of course Mark Deeks of Music Newcastle and Leanne Conway-Wilcox of Tyne the Knot. Today, special mention should go to Julie and Alison of A.J. Bridal Wear and Jenny Taylor of Little Larder.

A.J. Bridal Wear are simply lovely people who offer a fantastic service, and brides will feel confident that they are in the best hands for that most important of purchases. If you are in the market for bridal wear - you have to go visit them, you won’t be disappointed. Jenny, at Little Larder has the answer - no matter what the question! Her cakes and truffles are just fabulous. Not only do they look superb, but boy, do they taste good! We were a little greedy today!

Tom’s next public appearance is on
Friday when he will be singing at Vercelli’s in Hexham, and is looking forward to seeing you there!

A Flurry of Fairs

Tom Wyllie Fayre Photo r
These last two weekends, Tom has been exhibiting and performing at Wedding Fairs in the region. He is one of the recommended suppliers at Doxford Hall Hotel - in fact their only recommended singer, something he feels is a real privilege at such a fabulous venue. On Sunday 9th February, Tom was at their Wedding Fair, a busy day, with lots of couples visiting, some making their booking on the day.

Tom Wyllie Fayre Photo 1r
Yesterday saw Tom exhibit in the www.countmeinevents.com Wedding Show at Tiger Tiger in Newcastle upon Tyne. Again, Tom was able to sing for many of the visitors, and he drew praise from both visitors and exhibitors alike. It is worth saying, that Tom isn’t able to demonstrate his “performance” at these events, because he is always mindful of the other exhibitors, and their need to talk to prospective clients. Visitors do get a flavour of Tom’s unwavering ability to hit every note. Yesterday, there must have been an issue with the air conditioning, and, as the afternoon went on he did go upbeat to “Copacobana” and even “500 Miles” to help exhibitors move about a bit and keep warm!

These last two events did get us thinking, that Tom has got to know some excellent suppliers for weddings and events, and that, where we have been impressed, we should provide a link on our website -
a list of our own recommended suppliers, which could help guide Tom’s clients. These will only be exceptional suppliers, who, in our opinion will provide an excellent service, and of course, will not be exhaustive - there are many suppliers out there whose path has not yet crossed with Tom’s!

Finally, yesterday afternoon saw Tom featured on Radio Tyneside’s “Geordie Hour”. Gary Hogg featured his duet with Anna Foster - “All I Ask Of You” - and promised more from Tom in the coming weeks. If you missed the show yesterday, it is repeated on Wednesdays on Radio Tyneside at 9pm on 1575AM.

If you are having withdrawal from Tom’s performing - you can catch him this week at lunchtime on
Wednesday at Alnwick Garden Cafe or on Friday evening at Marabini’s in Morpeth.

Congratulations to Mandy and Lee

Tom Wyllie with Mandy and lee Shields, Hall Garth Hotel
Our warm congratulations to Mandy and Lee Shields, who were married on Friday! Tom provided the evening entertainment at the fabulous Hall Garth Hotel and Country Club, near Darlington.

Not only did Tom provide some two and a half hours of live entertainment, but he also provided eighties music through his PA system, whilst he wasn't singing. In addition he provided stage and dance floor lighting to set the mood for a memorable evening.

Mandy and Lee, were heading straight off on their honeymoon, but Lee did say that Tom's entertainment had exceeded their expectations - 'we couldn't have asked for better". We of course wish them a wonderful honeymoon and life together.

Tom Wyllie, Hall Garth Hotel, Lights
For anyone considering booking their wedding entertainment, Tom can provide a very attractive package, with live entertainment, music and lights. Whilst he certainly doesn't proclaim to provide a full DJ service, the personal touch he offers makes for a wonderful evening of entertainment.

Congratulations!

Clare and Chris Davison Wedding with Tom Wyllie North East Singer 001
Warm congratulations to Clare and Chris, who woke up this morning as Mr and Mrs Davison!

Last night, Tom Wyllie, North East singer was delighted to perform for Clare and Chris at their evening reception at Doxford Hall Hotel, Northumberland. By late afternoon, the sun was shining at the lovely venue and Clare and Chris had a great day.

Later, Clare and Chris kindly got in touch...
"Thank you for a brilliant vocal performance at our evening wedding reception last night at Doxford Hall. From the very beginning when we first spoke to Tom, to booking him for our wedding reception we found his level of service to be first class and very professional. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was more than happy to go that extra mile for us. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed listening to you sing Tom, and we loved your interaction with our guests as you walked around, which many thought got them more involved. It was lovely to see a family working as a team together and making it an evening to remember for us.
We would definitely recommend you to anyone seeking a top class performer for any event and you have 2 new fans who will definitely be making a visit to Marabini's in Morpeth to see you perform in the future.
Many Thanks again
Chris and Clare
"

We all wish Clare and Chris a very happy further together!
