New Entertainment at The Old Storehouse
On Friday night, Tom Wyllie, North East Singer, was entertaining for the first time at The Old Storehouse, Amble. This newly refurbished restaurant and pub, on Links Road, is run by Park Leisure, along with The Links 5 Star Holiday Park. It's open to the public and the food and service is excellent!
Tom began by singing to the diners in the restaurant (and those in the surrounding lounge bar), with a mix of classical and easy listening songs. Judging by the generous feedback, from many of the customers, and by the frequent applause - he was received very well. In fact, so much so, that the management said that the owners of caravans, next door in The Links Owners' Only Bar and Entertainment Lounge, were worried that they were missing out! Tom was invited to perform his second set there, on stage. Of course those who have seen Tom perform will guess that he didn't stay on stage the whole time! Before long he had the Lounge singing and dancing. He surprised most of the audience, by rounding off with Nessun Dorma and O Sole Mio. It was a thoroughly enjoyable night, and our thanks go out to the management and staff, including Brian Bush in The Links Lounge, who made his sound desk available for a quick transfer from The Old Storehouse Restaurant, and who controlled the lights for Tom's performance.
Check out Tom's gig page, as he is now booked in at The Old Storehouse through into December. He will perform a set in the restaurant, and then a set in The Links Owners' Lounge. He will next be there on Friday 13th June.
If you can't wait that long, Tom will next be appearing in public at Alnwick Garden Cafe for a lunchhtime concert this Wednesday, 4th June. Again, details are on his gig page.
